Discipline Over Motivation
Motivation is temporary. Discipline is a decision.
Training for a half marathon trail race taught me that. Trail running isn’t smooth or predictable — it’s uneven, uphill, technical, and mentally demanding. There were mornings I didn’t feel like training. There were days my body felt heavy. But race day doesn’t care how you feel. The miles still have to be covered.
So I trained anyway.
Discipline meant running when I was tired, staying consistent when progress felt slow, and preparing long before the starting line. Crossing that finish line wasn’t about one motivated day — it was the result of months of steady effort.
That same mindset carries into my leadership and personal growth. I don’t rely on how I feel. I rely on commitment.
Motivation fades. Discipline builds results.
